Doctor Who, the series

Doctor Who is a BBC series created by Sydney Newman, C. E. Webber and Donald Wilson. It is about a time traveller called the Doctor who comes from a race called Time Lords who lived in the planet Gallifrey. He has been performed by 12 actors, seven at the classic series, one at the film and the other ones at the modern series, it currently performed by Peter Capaldi.

It started on 23rd November 1963 and it finished on 6th December 1989, this period is known as classic series, after that on 1996 they did a film, and the 16th March 2005 the series began again, all what has been broadcast after that is called the modern series.
The Doctor travels through time and space, he usually travels with one or more companions, most of them are young women, currently he travels with Clara Oswald, played by Jenna-Louise Coleman. He can travel to the past, present and future, most of the present episodes are set on the London of the year when the episode is made, the episodes of the past and the future are also usually set on the United Kingdom, like the Shakespeare episode; but some of them are set on other countries like the United States in the episode of the moon landing, they also travel to other planets like when they go to the Library planet, where all the planet is a library and the moon is an anti virus called Dr. Moon.
The Doctor also has got enemies, some of the most famous enemies are the Daleks, the Cybermen, the Sontarans and the Weeping Angels.
